Plot Bunnies – Day 27

We hope you enjoyed yesterday’s Plot Bunnies featuring Wicca. This is the beginning of a new project that Dave Mornix and I have planned. Each day will post something funny, weird or strange … but with some fact behind it. You can then run with it and use it for  your own inspirational purposes or just read it and do nothing the choice is yours.

Day 27

Urban photography, and exploring abandon or ghost towns, this is a new trend for some people. It’s even better if they are suppose to be haunted. It is also referred to as urban spelunking, or urban exploration.

On Wiki How To – How to Explore Abandon Buildings 8 tips:

1. Avoid breaking local laws (trespassing is illegal in many countries) – look for signs that say keep out private property

2. Be aware of your actions – without speaking with the owner or caretaker you could be perceived as a squatter, vandal, arsonist or someone looking for salvage.

3. Find a site to explore – google it, find a group online, get some information first

4. Walk the perimeter – check for entrances(exits), windows, doors, etc

5. Decide when to make an entrance – daylight is better most places that have been abandon won’t have power (lights)

6. Find the easiest way in (refer back to number 2)

7. Explore! take pictures, look at the old furnishings, fixtures, what ever that catches your eye.

8. Leave the structure the same way you found it (golden rule for everything)
